Struggling with a temptation? – Join us today

Are you good at resisting temptations? We all get tempted to do things that we know we shouldn’t do. Whether it’s eating too many sweets, failing to do a chore, being dishonest about why we need to miss work, or doing something more serious, we all face temptations. If you’ve ever wanted to get stronger against these things, this morning is for you. We’ll do a deep dive into Jesus’ time in the wilderness. He gives us the model for resisting temptations, and something even better. Join us this morning to learn what to do when you’re “Tempted.”

Worship with us today – February 19

Everyone isn’t good with surprises. Some folks don’t enjoy them at all. This can be a challenge when walking with Jesus because He regularly does things we don’t expect. He might ask us to visit someone we don’t plan to see on a given day. He may ask us to welcome a stranger who makes us uncomfortable. He might ask us to forgive someone who we believe we have a right to hate. Today, we’re studying another way Jesus surprises us. He reminds us of who He is and His true nature. What does it mean to know that an all-powerful God loves us as Christ does? Join us this morning for a Mystery Trip.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Nobody’s perfect. We all understand that we have flaws. We make choices that don’t reflect the will and way of God. Though we are a forgiven people, we still need to examine our lives and see where our thoughts and living need to align with Christ. We will look at how being the salt and light we talked about last week ties into the scripture for today. Join us this morning for next level stuff.

Feeling depressed or cynical? – Make a change

You don’t have to look hard for people who want things to change. If you start a conversation while standing in line at the grocery store, waiting for an appointment, or anywhere, you’ll likely end up hearing someone wishing something about the world was different. These feelings are understandable. However, what do the disciples of Jesus do in these moments? Do we add to the cynicism and anxiety, or do we have a word of comfort and hope for God’s children? Jesus tells us that we are salt and light. We should offer help in these times. Find out how and why we are the ones we are waiting for.
