Worship with us today – August 25

Many people complain about how divided the world feels right now. In this environment, how will the people of Jesus be known? Today, we hear Jesus discussing what defiles a person. He teaches us that those things come from the inside rather than the outside. How do we live in ways that show we’ve brought the love and character of Christ to what we do, or will the world see us as part of the problem? Join us this morning for “What Comes Out Matters.”

We’ll be live on Facebook on Sunday at 11:00, or you can watch any time on Facebook or YouTube. Click here for video

Here is some information to help you participate if you’re joining us online:

  • Our opening prayer is interactive. This prayer is a moment for us to affirm our faith collectively. Respond, “We worship God, who lives among us.”
  • The songs are “Be Thou My Vision” and “I Want to Be a Christian.” You can look up the words online and sing along.
  • The Bible reading is Mark 7: 1-23.
  • We invite you to share your prayer requests in the comments. Whether it’s a moment of praise for God’s goodness in your life or a challenge where you hope to see God’s intervention, we want to hear from you. Your sharing is a testament to how God moves in our lives. Share an offering in our app in Givelify or send a check to the church.

We’re eagerly anticipating this time of worship with you. Get ready for a blessed Lord’s Day, everyone!

Wonder Why Bad Things Happen in Life? – Join us this morning

This is the last week of our series inspired by Adam Hamilton’s book, Wrestling with Doubt- Finding Faith. We have explored issues of life and faith that have challenged us. We have looked at some of our doubts directly, leaning into what God would teach us. This week, we explore a topic that has troubled all followers of Christ at some point: why the innocent suffer. Seeing so much trouble in our world causes many to question whether God is there or genuinely good. Today, we ask the hard question, knowing God has something in store as we seek Him. Let us worship God together! Click here for video.

Worship with Us Today – August 4

1 John 5:14–15 tells us, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” We know, love, and trust God. Still, we all have been disappointed when God didn’t move as hoped in a prayer. This reality causes a lot of people to doubt God. Today, we’ll wrestle with doubts that come when prayers go unanswered.
